10 questions to ask yourself before trying to sell your home by owner
1. Do you have enough free time to sell your house?
2. Do you have the resources available to price your house at highest range that will attract buyers?
3. Is your house easily located and are you able to effectively advertise your property?
4. Do you have the time to answer phone calls at all hours and keep your house in top order ready to show to buyers at any time?
5. Do you know how to show your house in its best light?
6. Are you able to negotiate with prospective buyers without giving up your bargaining position?
7. Are you prepared to accept criticism from prospective buyers without showing irritation?
8. Are you familiar with current disclosure laws?
9. Are you able to show prospective buyers comparable properties so that they understand why your home is worth the asking price?
10. Do you have the knowledge required to prepare legally binding contracts and coordinate all the details needed to successfully close the transaction?
